Rotary, Kiwanis, and Niki Tsongas

What a wonderful opportunity. Today I got to meet Congresswoman Niki Tsongas! She speaks with dignity and grace. Her voice is pleasant but strong, she seemed open, focused, and engaged. I was honored to be a guest among great company with the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs hosting this event at the Haverhill Country Club. I even got to ask Congresswoman Tsongas about the opiate epidemic and asked if any relief in the form of funding or models would be coming down from the Federal level that cities like Haverhill could utilize. Funding streams are appearing by way of grants and she did say that congress is well aware of the complexity of the issue and that they are “still trying to figure out what their part is”. As she was leaving I was able to take a picture with her and she wished me well with my candidacy for city council.
